Barnett, Rubel Graham

Rubel Graham Barnett, 85, of Prices Fork, died Friday, May 25, 2012. She was born in Wise County, on August 6, 1926, to the late Owen and Margaret Standefer Mullins. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Earl Graham; sisters, Nona Cassidy, Opal Shortt, and Artie Church; brothers Ernest Mullins and Obie Mullins. She was a longtime member of Community Christian Church, McCoy. She is survived by her husband, Melvin Vassie Barnett; two daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Graham, of Fairlawn, Tonya and Paul Kessinger, of Blacksburg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Graham of Kentucky, Jimmy and Darlene Graham, of Blacksburg; stepchildren, Rita Sullivan and husband, George, of Prices Fork, Melvin E. Barnett and wife, Patricia, of Prices Fork; eight grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Dudley Scott of McCoy. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Darlene Marshall and David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, S.W., Blacksburg.
