Barker, Lois Duncan

Lois Isabel Duncan Barker, age 91, of Blacksburg died, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. She was born in Blacksburg, Va. on February 18, 1925 to the late Elmer Clinton and Mollie Lee Smith Duncan. She worked at Imperial Reading and retired from V.P.I. & S.U. after 18 years.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Jefferson Barker, brothers, Edward C. Duncan, Thurman A. Duncan, Carl W. Duncan.

She is survived by her sisters, Clara D. Kinsley, Christiansburg, Gladys D. Young, Kernersville, N.C., brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Clara Ann Duncan, Blacksburg, William Ford and Phyllis Duncan, Bassett, sisters-in-law, Evelyn Duncan, Kitty L. Duncan, special nieces and nephews, Patty and Jerry Duncan, great niece, April Mussellman Darrell and Joyce Bandy, Curtis and Janet Duncan, other numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 28, 2016, at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
