Barker, Donnie Lee

Donnie Lee Barker, 45, of Christiansburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2012. He was born in Montgomery County on September 15, 1966, to the late David Daniel and Juanita Sumler Barker. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Ray Barker. Donnie attended Tried Stone Christian Center in Blacksburg. He is survived by his wife, Linda Elizabeth DiRico; daughter, Kerri Barker; son, Gary Barker; stepson, Nick DiRico; special friend, Connie Shelor; sisters, Donna (Mike) Dickerson, and Brenda (Tom) Early; brother, David Wayne (Helen) Barker; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends on from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2012, at Horne Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
