Barker, David Daniel

David Daniel Barker, 83 of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Sumler Barker; and son, Gary Ray Barker.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Mike Dickerson, and Brenda and Tommy Early; and sons and daughters-in-law, David Wayne and Helen Barker, and Donnie and Linda Barker. He is also survived by his grandchildren and spouses, Tommy and Kim Early, of Pilot, Michael and Kendall Early, of Pennsylvania, Darrick Early, of Danville, Kimberly Dickerson, of Christiansburg, and Kerri and Gary Barker, of Fairlawn, one sister, Joyce Hutchison; special friend, Mary Nelson; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2010. The Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
