Barbaree, Connie Lee

Connie Jane Lee Barbaree, 67, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Saturday, November 3, 2007. She was born in New Castle, Va. on October 8, 1940 to the late Cyril Moore and Elizabeth Burger Lee.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Jones; sister, Harriet Lee Miles; and brother-in-law, Richard Eugene Miles.

She is survived by her special niece, Karen Miles-Dobbins, who was her caregiver and yard sale buddy over the past few years, and most of all, a friend; her husband, Patrick; and their children, Jess Mitchum and Hank Mitchum of Radford; grandnephew, Kirk Albert; caregiver, Randy Elmore; and helper and niece, Mary Beth Hungate and family and Ms. Emily and Kevin; grandnephew, Mark Kingery and family; her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Lee and Dennis White of New Castle and Theresa and David Dobson of Elliston; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Kathy Jones of New Castle; grandchildren, Angie Paitsel and husband, Chris, Alley Meadows and husband, Eddie and family, Matthew Brizendine; and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. View Christian Church, Rt. 311, with the Rev. William Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery, Craig County.
