Micheal Allen Barb, 58, of Pulaski, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Pulaski Community Hospital. Mike was born August 27, 1947 in Bethesda, Maryland and is the son of Dorothy Chase Barb and the late Everyn Allen Barb.

He was an active member of the Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1184 in Pulaski, was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was retired from Montgomery County Public School System in Rockville, Md. as an electronic technician.

Mike will be remembered locally as a friendly face to many Pulaski County High School students as their faithful # 71 bus driver.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Buckland Barb of Pulaski; his mother, Dorothy Chase Barb of Port Charlotte, Florida; a brother, Walter Barb, Sr. and his wife Debra of Port Charlotte, Florida. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of church family, and his special friend and companion, his dog “Holly”.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 8, 2006 at 3 p.m. at the Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lones officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery where the V.F.W. Post 1184 will conduct military honors, and the Rev. Edward Hartman, Jr. will assist in graveside rites.

Visiting will be held anytime Saturday after 4 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1046 Dublin, Va. 24084.
