Edgar Albert Banes, age 75 of the Little Creek community of Pulaski Co., died Friday evening January 20, 2017 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski.

He was born on July 10, 1941 in Bland Co., and was the son of the late Lucreasey Carver and William Drayton Banes. Mr. Banes was a retired employee of Pulaski Furniture Corp., and was a member of the Millirons United Methodist Church in Little Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; William David (Bill) Banes and Ellis Wilbur Banes. He is survived by his lovely wife, Delphine Millirons Banes: three sons; Barry Banes and his wife Trish of Little Creek, Dennis Banes and his wife Dana of Little Creek, and Damon Banes and his wife Buffie of Alum Spring Road: two daughters; Debbie Lane and her husband Mike of Little Creek, and Sandra Hall and her husband Foy of Pulaski: brother; Ernest Banes and his wife Dolly of Little Creek: sister; Edith Virgie Roop and her husband Fred of Pulaski: Grandchildren; Derrick Lane and his wife Carrie, Scotty Lane and his wife Amy, Nikki Lane and Chris Harmon, Izaiah Lane, David Puckett and his wife Leilani, Phillip Ring and Cassie: Great Grandchildren; Makayla Lane, Tyler Lane, Hailey Lane, Kadynce Almarode, Jaelon Almarode, Julia Puckett, and Jeremy Puckett: Special brother-in-law; Thomas Phipps, and sister-in-law; Donnie (Huch) Phipps, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home, with Pastor Linda Hale and Pastor W. Jeff Aikens officiating. Interment will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Millirons Cemetery, Little Creek. The family will receive friends on Monday at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
