Ball, Woody Scott

Woody Scott Ball, age 64, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at his home in Bozoo, WV. Born May 4, 1956, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of the late David E. and Pauline “Pod” Harless Ball.

Woody worked as a master electrician and was a member of the Shriners. He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting and trout fishing. He was a beloved uncle and friend.

In addition to his parents, Woody was preceded in death by two brothers, Benny and Rex Ball; special brother, Dale Wilson; niece Josanna Pauline Ball; and nephew, Buck Steele. Survivors include one nephew, Joshua Ball and wife Alicia of Gulf Port, MS; two nieces, Jackie Mosley of Ripplemead, VA, and Amanda Black and husband Cedric of Christiansburg, VA; one uncle, Pete Harless of Troutville, VA; several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; and many friends.

In keeping with Woody’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date on the farm.
