Ball, Pauline Harless

Pauline “Pod” Ball, age 85, of Bozoo, WV, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at the Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg, VA. Born January 9, 1933, in Bozoo, WV, she was the daughter of the late E.B. and Vita Pauline Meadows Harless. She was a member of the Bozoo Christian Church, was a former employee at Celanese, and was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ball; two sons, Benny and Rex Ball; special nephew, Dale Wilson; and four sisters, Mae, Emma Jean, Janice, and Dorothy. Survivors include one son, Woody Ball of Bozoo, WV; one brother, Pete Harless of Troutville, VA; four grandchildren, Jackie, Buck, Amanda, and Joshua; and eight great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Sunset View Cemetery in Bozoo, WV, with Shirley Wimmer officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:00 AM on Wednesday. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, there will be no visitation or viewing.
