Mary Estelle Collins Bales, 82 of Pearisburg, VA was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at her home in the loving care of her family. A longtime member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Pearisburg, she was a faithful servant and will continue with everlasting life in Heaven to sing with the angels and rejoice in her reunion with God and His Beloved Son, Jesus. She is there to look over us and try as she always did to keep us on the narrow path. She is there for us to talk to anytime we want to and listens without interruptions. Her wisdom will always be with us and love can be felt in the embrace of those we love. The physical being that was our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend left, but she will life forever in our hearts, our beliefs, our actions and the love we share with others.

Born March 28, 1931 to George Willie Collins and Minnie Jane Hamblin Collins and given in marriage to Garfield Bales on March 25, 1951. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her wonderful husband of 60 years, and her kind hearted brothers and sisters, Jack, Robert, Calvin, Melvin and Donald Collins, Annie Buchanan, Pansy Hetherington, Josephine Kirk and Christine Kirk.

Estelle will be sadly missed by her family but comforted that she will be in Heaven with her Savior and family. She leaves many wonderful memories to her son and daughter, Richard Bales of Pearisburg and Linda (Jim) Peck of Pembroke, granddaughters, Beth (Josh) Osborne, Susan (Brian) Adkins and Billie Jean Huskey, great grandchildren, Ciara (Matt) and Jack Meredith and Hunter and Ali Adkins, many nieces and nephews, friends, and her church family at Faith Temple PHC.
