Baker, Virginia Thelma

Virginia Thelma Baker, 86, of Christiansburg and formerly of Pilot, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, the Rev. Opha W. Baker; daughter, Drema K. Simpkins; granddaughter and husband, Jennifer and Steve Martin; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
