Baird, Annie Mae Stewart

Annie Mae Stewart Baird, 94, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Kroontje Health Care Center. She was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. on January 29, 1918, to the late Jacob and Della Minor Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Baird Sr.; sisters, Emma Carr, Dorothy Burke, and Virginia Saxtan; and brothers, George, William, and Leonard Stewart. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Charles Steger; son and daughter-in-law, John Baird and Wendy Wark; sisters, Laura Deems, Margaret Pettirossi, and Thelma Lamkin; and by grandchildren, Christopher and David Steger, Caitlin, Gillian, and Logan Baird. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Richmond, with Dr. Zolton J. Phillips III officiating.
