Bain, Barbara Farmer

Barbara Annabelle Farmer Bain, 72, of Radford, Va., passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Annabelle was preceded in death in October by her beloved husband of 53 years, Robert Clayton Bain. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Allen G. and Tammy Bain, of Dublin; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Barry Armentrout, of Natural Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Shelby Farmer, of Radford; a sister, Louise McCoy, of Alexandria; two brothers-in-law, Larry Bain and his wife Joyce, and Michael Bain, all of Radford; a sister in-law, Wanda Phillips and her husband, Gerald, of Radford; several nieces and nephews; and special friends including a very special friend and neighbor, Charlotte “E.B.” Beasley.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009, at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry and Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, December 31, 2008, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
