Bain, Alan (AJ) Joseph

Alan (AJ) Joseph Bain, of Christiansburg, went home to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, March 05, 2011 surrounded by his loved ones at home. AJ is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Sue Bain and precious daughter, Skylar Brooke Bain; parents, Allen and Joyce Bain, of Christiansburg; in-laws, Sam and Betty Sexton of Hillsville; sister, Jennifer Bain of Christiansburg; brother, Samuel Bain of Riner; sister-in-law and husband, Debbie and Dennis Hooven of Fancy Gap; nephew, Dylan East; nieces, Jennifer Hooven and Sierra East. AJ was a faithful servant and loved being the children’s church preacher at the Gospel Light Baptist Church. Funeral services for AJ will be conducted on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Gospel Light Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Otey and Dr. Glenn Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends at the Mullins funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011. Our sincere thanks to all who helped bring AJ home.
