Bailey, Evelyn Bradley

Evelyn M. Bailey, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Sovah Health Hospital in Martinsburg, VA. Born March 12, 1941, in Giles County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel M. and Euna Crotty Bradley.

Evelyn was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Hinton, WV. She enjoyed cross stitching, crossword puzzles, and cooking. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Bailey; and sister, Gayla Sue Meadows. Those left to cherish Evelyn’s memory include her daughter, Marcella Stacy and husband Robert of Henry, VA; one brother, David Bradley and wife Peggy of Peterstown, WV; two grandchildren, Crystal Kiser and husband Brian of Bassett, VA, and Christopher Dillon and wife Mindie of Ashboro, NC; and six great grandchildren, Austin, McKinley, Madison, Caitlyn, Tyllir, and Cheyenne.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA.
