Austin, Ella Mae

Ella Mae Austin, 71, of Riner, died suddenly Sunday, March 18, 2007. She was born September 13, 1935 in Pulaski County.

She was the daughter of the late Cornelia Elizabeth Cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Austin and her brother, Frank Cook.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, George F. Austin and wife, Eugenia of Riner, James T. Austin of Radford; her daughter, Wanda A. Jones and husband, William of Christiansburg; three grandchildren, Jared and Taylor Austin of Staunton, Va., and Tykia Wade of Riner; great-grandson, Isiah Austin of Riner; a sister, Lucy Cook of Dublin; brothers-in-law, William Austin and wife Pat and Robert Hayden; sister-in-law, Louvenia Stewart, all of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
