John Med Atkinson, 49, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald R. Atkinson II. Left to cherish his memory is his father, Donald R. Atkinson; and his mother, Frances Roberts Atkinson Crockett. There will be no visitation, however, there will be a Graveside Service held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
