Arnold, Claude McNeal

Claude McNeal (Mac) Arnold, 78, of Barren Springs, died early Monday morning, August 26, 2013, in the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Pulaski. He was born in Wythe County on July 1, 1935, and was the son of the late Deck Dillion Arnold and Maggie Gladys Turney Arnold. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Houston Arnold; and by a sister, Mittie Ellen Arnold. Surviving are wife, Patricia Anne “Pat” Arnold; daughters, Teri Wasson and Lori Donaldson; sons and spouses, Michael and Gail Schleich, Randall and Christa Schleich, and Darrell Arnold; grandchildren, Victoria Arnold, Stephen Arnold, Tonya Zimmer, Timothy Tinker, Benzamin Banner, Caitlin Banner, John Schleich, Toni Schleich, Cody Schleich, Brandan Schleich, Tasha Schleich, Aaron Schleich and Jesse Schleich; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and spouse, Annie Lois and James Lyons, Sarah Mae Martin, and Debra Darlene Arnold; brothers and spouses, Charles Lee and Jean Arnold, Edward Wallace and Ester Arnold, Larry Thomas and Lindsey Arnold, and William Otis and Pattie Arnold; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, , from the Drapers Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wythe County, with the Rev. Mike Ingo officiating. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at the church where the family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the service hour. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the church cemetery. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski.
