Arnold, Allen Curtis

Allen Curtis Arnold, 59, of Christiansburg, originally of Wythe County, went home to be with his heavenly Father Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jesse David and Lottie Mae Akers Arnold.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Geraldine Beasley Arnold; four stepsons and their spouses, Mike and Rhonda Saylors, Pat and Becky Saylors, Eric Saylors, Buck and Crystal Saylors; two stepdaughters and spouse, Jackie Mann and Suzanne and Don Fariss; 12 stepgrandchildren, all of whom are of Christiansburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Karen Arnold; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Gilmer Rickey and Sherry and Ricky Ring; two nieces; one nephew; two great-nephews, all from Wytheville; as well as his good friends and traveling buddies, Gary and Nancy Conner and Eugene and Linda Kast, of Christiansburg.

He will be remembered for his love of gardening and being outdoors.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to two hospice nurses, Lindsey and Alta, as well as to Ryan Rose, a nurse from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, 8th floor ICU.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 22, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Auburn Baptist Church located at 3840 Riner Road. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Auburn Baptist Church with Pastor Shake Smith and Pastor Jerry Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
