Arnette, Ester Beckner

Ester Beckner Arnette, 72, of Christiansburg, and formerly of Willis, passed away at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center on Saturday, November 22, 2008.

She is survived by four children; one daughter-inlaw; and two sons-in-law, Rhonda Rayburn, Christiansburg, Roger and Janet Bryant, Christiansburg, Terri and Wayne Poff, Willis, Anissa and Darrell Keith, Laurel Fork; four stepchildren and their spouses, Tom and Thea Arnette, Ga., Betsy Arnette, Va., Brenda and Stanley Perdue, Colo., Rick and Cindy Arnette, N.C., and their children; five grandchildren, Robert Bryant, Katie and Kevin Starkey, James Bryant, Josiah Poff, Brandie and Kevin Hall; six greatgrandchildren, Zachary and Austin Keith, Hope Bryant, Ethan and Kyra Starkey, Matthew Hall; four brothers; four sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Reverend Roy Turpin officiating. The family will receive friends at Gardner Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
