Anderson Sr., Carl Clinton

Carl Clinton Anderson Sr., 87, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Tuesday morning, August 17, 2010, in the Heritage Hall Health Care, Blacksburg. Born in Worth, W.Va., on June 25, 1923, he was the son of the late John and Kate Farmer Anderson. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Fayetta Reese Anderson; and a daughter, Teresa Faye Anderson.

He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry.

Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Vivie and Ed Cox, of Radford, and Kathy and Jerry Basham, of Belsprings; sons and daughter-in-law, Carl Jr. and Donna Anderson, of Little Creek, Robert Lee Anderson, of Fairlawn, and John Daniel Anderson, of Dublin; sister, Ellen Chinault, of Cleveland, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tom Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Ray Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, August 19, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m.
