Anderson, Joyce Mae

On Monday, March 14, 2016, Joyce Mae Anderson left this world to be with her Creator, Jesus Christ. Joyce was born on March 11, 1949, in Pulaski, Va., to Margaret McClanahan Anderson Lee and Aaron Albert Anderson.

Joyce loved the Lord with all her heart.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Lee and Aaron Anderson.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted children, Michele (Matthew) Brown of Christiansburg, Va., Jodi M. Slaughter of Virginia Beach, Va., and Joseph Slaughter II of Christiansburg; sisters Ethel (Daniel) Brown, Patricia (Fred) Poole of Pulaski and Annette Anderson of Christiansburg, Va.; and brothers Marvin Lee and Aaron Anderson of Pulaski.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Serenity Funeral Home, 248 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Spirit of Life Worship Center, 239 16th Street NW, Pulaski, with Pastor Edward Lydell Slaughter officiating.
