Anderson, Durward Shannon

Durward Shannon Anderson, passed away on December 17, 2006 in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born in Parrot, Virginia on September 2, 1925 to John and Maggie Anderson.

He is survived by two daughters, Cheryle Moore of Anchorage and Melanie Martens of Orland, Calif.; eight grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wife of 54 years, Mae, preceded him in death in 1999. Brother Elmo Anderson, and two sisters, Blenna Simpson and Kate Burke also preceded him in death.

He was a member for the IBEW working mainly in California and Alaska. He enjoyed sending out birthday wishes on postcards to over 500 people and traveling in his motorhome.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
