Anders, James Emmet

James Emmet Anders, 84, of Independence, died January 3, 2014. Emmet was born at Independnece, Virginia, to the late Osie Anders and Mary Luella Murray Anders.

Surviving, wife, Logene Russell Anders of the home; son and spouse, James “Jimmy” and Teresa Anders of Ivanhoe, VA; daughter and spouse, Marcy and Andrew Scott of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, James Russell and Ted and Mary Alice Russell all of Fancy Gap, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 5, 2013 at Mountain View Baptist Church, 112 Mountain Road, Independence, VA, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. David Osborne will officiate. The body will lie in state at the church thirty minutes prior to the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
