Amos, Skylar Leigh

Skylar Leigh Amos, 6, of Radford, died Friday, February 17, 2006 in Carilion New River Medical Center.

Surviving are her parents, Shaun and Angela Whittaker, Radford; a sister, Belle Smith, Radford; maternal grandmother, Tina Mosley, Radford; paternal grandmother, Cyndi Linkous, Radford; paternal grandfather and grandmother, Eddie and Shirley Nester, Christiansburg; great-grandmother, Pat Whittaker, Radford; great-grandfather and great-grandmother, Bobby and Molly Nester, Parrott; great great grandmother, Louise “Nan” Walker, Radford; great great grandfather, Howard “PaPa” Walker, Radford; two aunts; two uncles, and many great aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Eddie Dalton, Pastor Jerry Gibson, and Mr. Larry Price officiating. Interment will follow in Sifford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Parrott Church of God from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2006, however friends may call after 2 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Skylar Amos Fund at Blue Ridge Bank. Arrangements by DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
