Altizer, Paul Wayne

Paul Wayne Altizer, 63, of Riner, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. He was born on November 29, 1946, as the youngest son of Virginia L. Altizer and the late Donnie D. Altizer.

He will be missed by the many people blessed to know him and forever remembered for his love of hunting, trapping, fishing, guns, his blue-heeler dogs, and the farm down on the river.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Lucas Altizer, of Riner; brother, Freddie Altizer and wife, Phama, of Riner; nephew, Josh Altizer, of Riner; niece, Tara Altizer, of Riner; multiple aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Gardner Funeral Home with a Memorial Service beginning at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Battle officiating.
