Altizer, Emogene Mae (Jean)

Emogene Mae (Jean) Altizer, 76, of Indian Valley, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, July 27, 2014 after a long illness. Jean was a very giving person who cherished her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by her husband and all her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert Harrison and Essie Frances Weeks Lester; brother, Billy Alvin Lester; sisters, Bonnie Lester Jarrells and Peggy Frances Lester; nephew, Wayne Jarrells.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving and devoted husband Tazewell Altizer; daughter, Vicky (Coby) Farmer; grandchildren Jason (Amanda) Farmer, Heather (Mark) Reynolds; great- grandchildren, Gideon Farmer and Ryla Reynolds; brothers Elbert Jr. “E.J.” (Florence) Lester, Benny Lee (Annie) Lester, Donald Monroe (Marie) Lester; nieces Betty Jarrells, Angie Willis and Hannah Lester.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Pugh and the Rev. Matt Gore officiating. Interment to follow at the White Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
