Almenta, Jose Guadalupe

Jose Guadalupe Almenta, 26, of Pulaski, Va., died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, as a result of a motorcycle accident in California.

He was born July 30, 1990, in Hanford, Calif., and is the son of Cecilia Salamanca and Jose Valdez and stepfather to Javier Garcia. He is also survived by his grandmother, Olga Salamanca; brothers Noberto Garcia and Javier Garcia; sisters Abigail Hernandez and husband Victor, Olga Salamanca and husband Logan Murphy, Maria Garcia, Lupita Garcia, Helena Garcia, Brandi Garcia and Lourdes Garcia; uncles Enrique Valdez, and Julio Aguilar and wife Graciela Aguilar; aunts Irma Valdez and husband Javier Garcia, Gabriela Aguliar, Maria Aguilar, and Marisela Merodio and husband Juan Antonio Lopez; and tons of cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
