Sarah Elizabeth (Liz) Price Alls, 87, of Blacksburg, died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Heritage Hall Health Care. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on January 26, 1921 to the late George A. Sr. and Grace Epperly Price. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ivory “Lum” Alls, Sr., a son, Timothy Ray Alls, a daughter, Alice Lou Alls, two brothers, Frank N. Price and George A. Price, Jr., and two sisters, Lula K. Price and Ann P. Comer.

She loved to cook, bake and shop, always trying new recipes for family and friends. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James “Jimmy” I. Alls, Jr., and his wife, Frances, of Blacksburg, Carl D. “Denny” Alls and his wife, Carolyn, of Christiansburg; one sister, Arjetta P. Caldwell, of Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Kathleen S. Price, of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Rebecca Shook and husband, David, Michelle Dawn Cox and husband, Curtis, James I. Alls, III and his fianc�, Regina Smith; seven great-grandchildren, Michael Lynn Alls, Dakota Alls, Kasey Alls, Davey Shook, Gracelyn Shook, Hannah Cox, Bryce Cox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the nursing staff with Medi Home Health Hospice and the nursing staff at Heritage Hall for their wonderful care through the years.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Grooten officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medi Home Health Hospice, 102 N. Washington St., Pulaski, VA 24301. Friends may call any time after 12 noon Sunday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
