Virginia “Ginger” Allison, 80, of Lindside, WV passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022. Born in Beckley, WV she was the eldest of Katherine Stover Adkin’s seven children.

Ginger was a loving mother and homemaker for many years in Greenville, WV, before moving to Charlotte, NC, where she worked until retirement at Phillip Morris. After retirement, she moved to Myrtle Beach, SC, where she enjoyed knitting, gardening, dancing the Shag, and hanging out with friends and family.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jeri Lynne (Ross) Allison, Telisha Allison, her son Bob (Debbie) Bahr, her grandchildren Sierra (Charles) Allison, Parker Allison, Leah Briceno, Paige Bahr, Andrew Bahr. Her six siblings Brenda (Jim) Steiner, Ronald (Brenda)Withrow, Karla Lilly, Michael Withrow, Ellen Harlean Albert, and Randy Withrow. She is also survived by her grand pups Zoe, Snoop Dog, Daisy, Harlow, and Lloyd.

Ginger loved being a mother and grandmother. She was always happiest around family and friends and up for any adventure. Possessing the gift of gab, no one was ever a stranger to her for long. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

A special thanks to the wonderful staff at Country View Assisted Living for taking such good care of Ginger in her final stages of dementia. The family appreciates the kind words and affection you showed her during her time there.
