Alley, Nancy Williams

Nancy Williams Alley, 83, of York, Pa., and formerly of Pulaski, Va., passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Manor Care Nursing Home in York, Pa.

She was born January 13, 1925, to the late Annie Laurie and Sherman Williams. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Robert W. Alley; a son, Robert E. (Sonny) Alley; two brothers, Sherman L. Williams and Robert H. Williams. She was a member of Draper Valley Presbyterian Church and a former member by Wytheville Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a grandson, Mark K. Alley and wife, Kelly Scott, of Jamaica Plain, Mass.; sisters, Patsy W. Kulp, of Roanoke, Va., Rebecca W. Stultz, of Floyd, Va., and Mary W. Brewster, of York, Pa.; and daughter-in-law, Christi H. Alley, of Roanoke, Va.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church, 2755 Old Baltimore Road, Draper, Va., with the Rev. Brad Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in East End Cemetery, Wytheville, Va.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Draper Valley Presbyterian Church or the Arthritis Foundation. Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va., is in charge of arrangements.
