Allen, Rachel Jones

Rachel Hattie Elizabeth Jones Allen, age 88, of Pearisburg went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, April 14, 2015. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on October 18, 1926 to the late Aubrey J. and Annie Lucy Bradford Jones.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewin Jackson Allen; a grandson, Jacob Dove; grandson-in-law, Jesse Ault; brothers, Jack Jones, Irvin Jones; sister, Dorothy Noonan.

She was a long time member of Bible Holiness Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Junior Allen, Floyd Allen and Cindy Jareles, Johnnie and Rena Allen; daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Raymond Dove, Ruby and Jerry Spurlock; thirteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty Vincil; brothers and sister-in-law, Kelly Jones, Minor and Irene Jones, Willie Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Paster Roger Counts officiating. Interment will follow in the Moores Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg, VA.
