Allen, Preston William

Preston William Allen, 91, of Blacksburg, died Monday, October 28, 2013 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. He was born in Endicott, VA on January 27, 1922 to the late William and Julia Martin Allen.

He was a World War II Veteran having served in the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Allen, of Blacksburg; daughters and son-in-law, Anita Allen, of Blacksburg, Wanda Jones, of Christiansburg, and Elizabeth and Lonnie Dickerson, of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his brother, Ed Allen, of Blacksburg; and his Church of God Family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:00 am in the New Hope Church of God with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at the New Hope Church of God.
