Allen, Judy Smith

Judy Smith Allen, 63, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, October 10, 2010 at her home. She was born in McDowell County, W.Va. on October 21, 1946 to the late Richard David and Rubye Mae Stillwagon Smith and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Paul Smith and Devon Stillwagon Smith.

Judy has worked with her mother in the Curb Grill Restaurant on Brush Mountain for a number of years and was very active in the Belmont Christian Church and in later years was a member of Faith Christian Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn Allen and Tony Dove; sons, Roger Lee Allen, Jr., David Paul Allen; sisters and brother-in-law, Rubye and Russell Meadows, Roberta Lynn Smith; grandchildren, Jeffrey Dove and Katlyn Dove; former husband and wife, Roger Lee Allen Sr. and Peggy Allen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 6 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jim Bayne and Mr. Jeff White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Police Department, 200 Clay St., SW, Blacksburg, VA 24060 or the Blacksburg Rescue Squad, 200 Progress St., Blacksburg, VA 24060.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
