Thomas Alan Alexander, age 62, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021, at his home on Powell Mountain Road. Born December 9, 1958, in Staunton, VA, he was the son Charles Arless “Obbie” Alexander of Peterstown, WV, and the late Susie Ellen Terry Alexander.

Thomas was a member of the Community Family Worship Center in Peterstown, WV. He worked as a fork lift operator at the Eastern Vault Company in Princeton, WV, for more than 40 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ellen “Sis” Dillon; one brother, James A. Alexander, Sr.; and two brother-in-laws, Carl McMahan and Greg Wills. In addition to his father, survivors include his loving wife, Nedra Wills Alexander; one son, Derick Alexander and wife Angela of Peterstown, WV, one sister, Debra Sue McMahan of Peterstown, WV; mother-in-law, Vernetta Tritt of Peterstown, WV; two granddaughters, Brittany Alexander and Summer Miller; two nieces, Tiffany McMahan and Ashley Sigmon; three nephews, Brandon Wills, Arless Alexander, and Wayne Dillon; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pete Dunford officiating. Burial will follow at Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA, with Chuck Nixon, Jr. Stovall, Gene Goins, Brandon Wills, Dusty Snider, Arless Alexander, and Derick Alexander serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.
