Aldridge, Lavada Marcella

Lavada Marcella Aldridge, 90, of Check, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Garland Aldridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Carson Light, Arlee and Doy Light, Vera and Alvin Shanks; brother, Arvil Conner; son-in-law, Harry Perdue.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Joyce Aldridge, Rocky Mount; daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Buddy Haney, Riner, Edna Perdue, Check; grandchildren, Jonathan Aldridge, D.W. Aldridge, Annette Aldridge, Wesley Perdue, Bobby Perdue, Sandra Perdue, Nancy McCormick, Chris Haney, Alex Haney; seven greatgrandchildren; brothers-in-law, Willie Aldridge and wife Eva, Bure Aldridge and wife Virginia; sisters-in-law, Gladys Perdue, Versie Hall, Ruth Conner.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2006 at Salem Church (Head of the River), Check, with Elder W.T. Conner and Elder Junior Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Restvale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
