Alderman, Sabrina Gail
Sabrina Gail Alderman spent 50 years on this earth full of life, spirit and love. She will forever be remembered as a romantic, a dreamer, a rescuer of animals, a lover of Mother Nature, a chef and a gardener with a love of art, music, history and life itself.
She passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at her home in Ivanhoe, Va., after a long fight.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Jones of Ivanhoe; parents Edward and Nona Jean Alderman of Woodlawn, Va.; sister Regina (David) Mabe of Woodlawn; mother-in-law Sally Quesenberry of Pulaski, Va.; father-in-law Bobbie (Mavis) Jones; nieces Christina Mabe of Wilmington, N.C. and Heather Mabe of Hillsville, Va.; aunts Mary Melton of Woodlawn and Anne (Rick) Boyle of Richmond, Va.; uncle Everett (Joyce) Alderman of Woodlawn; and several cousins, extended family and friends. She is also survived by all of her fur babies, Giggles, Mazzie Star, Dexter, Olive, Kitty Griffey Jr., Opal, Lilly, Josephine and Cassie.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, Va. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wythe County Humane Society in care of Patty Midkiff at 1005 W. Fulton St., Wytheville, VA 24382.
