Alderman, Barbara Johnston

Barbara Johnston Alderman, 80, of Radford, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021.

She was a member at Central United Methodist Church and was a nurse for over 52 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Alderman; sons, Robert Cameron Alderman and Craig Allen Alderman; and daughter, Cynthia Dawn Alderman.

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Catron (Timothy Dale) of Wytheville; daughter-in-law, Angie Roberts (Cam Alderman) of McCoy; granddaughter, Caysey Laken Catron of Wytheville; grandchildren, Wesley Elbert Roberts and Ashley Roberts (Brandon Malcom) of McCoy; step granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Catron (Tyler Buchanan) of Rural Retreat; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021at the Central United Methodist Church with Pastor Ronnie Duncan and Pastor Don Smith officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Central United Methodist Church Kitchen Angels Ministry, P.O. Box 611, Radford, VA 24143.
