Albertson, Fred Williston

Fred Williston Albertson passed away Sunday, April 1 , 2007 at Virginia Veterans Care Center, Roanoke, Virginia. Fred was 86, born in Newport News, Virginia.

He was the son of Fred Julius and Odessa McKinney Albertson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in Italy for two years during World War II. He was a proud graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and retired as manager of the Hampton Roads District Sanitation Commission in Newport News. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Radford.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maxine Suttle Albertson; two daughters and son-in-laws, Laura Jean and Richard Fender and Mary Elizabeth and Grover Harcum; four grandsons, Nathan Fender, Brandon Harcum, Jason Harcum, Justin Harcum and wife Kjersti Harcum; one brother, Eugene Talbot Albertson ; and several nieces and nephews.
