Albert, Dixie Lafon

Dixie Lee Albert, 80 of Pearisburg, VA departed this life December 5, 2021 in the loving care of her family. Born February 26, 1941, in Bland County, VA she is a daughter of the late Baynard and Dolly Sadler Lafon.

Dixie lived a full life as an operator at Celanese. She practiced her faith at Mountain View United Methodist Church. In addition, she loved her family and was caretaker of the Anderson Cemetery at Mountain View.

In addition to her parents; Dixie is preceded in death by her husband, Barry Albert; and two brothers, Otis and Odell Lafon.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are a son, Charlie Stafford (Michelle) of West Point, VA; daughters, Sherry Stafford (Junior Davis) of Charles City, VA, Sheila Meadows (Jody Caldwell) of Pearisburg, VA; and Drema Shultz of Pearisburg, VA; grandchildren, Kelsea Stafford, Lance Stafford, Ashley Meadows, Alison Meadows, and Brandon Shultz; great grandchildren, Addison Strickland; a niece, Mary Jean Sullivan; and nephew, Steve Lafon.

There will be a graveside service conducted on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Anderson Cemetery at Mountain View with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions to be made to the Anderson Cemetery at Mountain View. A guestbook is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.
