Akers, William Bentley

William Bentley Akers, age 86 of Pembroke, died May 16, 2019 at New River Valley Medical Center. Bill (Bentley) was born in Montgomery County on June 7, 1932, to the late Ed and Rose Akers. He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Sadie Lois Akers.

He is survived by Bonnie Dolinger Akers, wife of 36 years, sons and daughter-in-laws: Bill and Debbie, Johnnie and Lilie and Robert Auvil;
Daughters and sons-in-laws: Cindy and Floyd, Amber and Lee. Sisters: Hazel Hinkley, Edna Franklin and Lillian Revis. Grandchildren: Amanda, Jessie, Kali, Beth, Ashley, April, Harley, Kennedi, Liam, Margaret and Jordan. Seventeen Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Buck Yopp and Rev Darrell Linkous officiating. Visitation will be from 2-3 P.M. before the service.
