Akers, Sr., Tim Houston

Tim Houston Akers Sr., 74, of Christiansburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Neal and Edith Irene Akers; sister, Judy Carol; and special nephew, James Akers. Tim is survived by his wife, Patty Jean Akers; children, Kevin Akers and wife Martha, Teresa Burton and husband Brian Light, Tim Houston Akers, Jr.; grandchildren, Robert, Brandon, Brittany, Carrie; sisters, Betty Hylton, Rebekah Akers, Rachel Akers; brother, Ernest Akers, Jr.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 5, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
