Akers, Nelson Gray

Nelson Gray Akers, of Gladewater, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2007. He was born in Floyd County, Va. on September 24, 1961 to the late Roy and Eliza Akers.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Akers; son, Christopher and wife, Lacy; daughters, Chrystal and Cheyenne Akers; brothers, Roy, Henry and Dallas, Denton and Dianne, Steve and Shelby, George and Janette, Noah, Wayne and Faye Akers; sisters, Betty and Nelson Vest, Alice and Sherman Altizer, Katie and Nulan Sutphin, Brenda and Larry Hale, Phyllis Akers; two grandaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church in Shawsville, Va. on Saturday, November 10, 2007.
