Akers, Dorothy Ann Burton Hall

Dorothy Ann Burton Hall Akers, age 67 of Barren Springs, VA passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born April 17, 1940 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Morris W. Burton and Anna Harriman Burton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Yvette April Hall Harrison, one sister, Betty Burton Proffitt and One brother, Roger Dale Burton.

She attended the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church. Dorothy was a long time hairstylist and most recently worked at the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center, Pulaski. She had also been a nurse at the Pulaski Community Hospital for 22 years and a volunteer at Critzer Elementary School. The grandchildren made their home with their Grandparents, Curtis and Dorothy after the death of her Daughter.

Grandchildren: Amber Paige Harrison Jordan Christophor Harrison

Sister: Mary Burton Shelor and husband, Eugene Shelor-Draper
