Betty Quesenberry Akers, age 89, Pulaski entered into rest on July 26, 2022 at Pulaski Health and Rehab. She was born on March 15, 1933, in Draper, the daughter of Clyde Smith Quesenberry Sr and Nannie Alverta Windle Quesenberry. Betty was a Granddaughter to James W & Mary Elizabeth Quesenberry as well as William F & Bessie A Jones Windle.

She was married to (and preceded in death by) her Husband, Charlie Bruce Akers for over 60 years. Also Preceding her in death are her three sons; Charlie Wayne Akers, Gary Lee Akers and Michael Anthony Akers as well as her brother, James William Akers.

She is survived by her Grandchildren: Gary Akers, Jr. of Pulaski, Travis Akers of OH, Crystal Hawkins, Isaiah Dunagan of Pulaski, Christopher Matthew Akers and Stephen Trent Akers of Pulaski.

Great-Grandchildren; Treegan Akers, Noah Akers, Alexus Hawkins, Tanner Hawkins, Ayanna Akers and Matthew Akers.

Sisters; Juanita Hughes of Johnson City, TN, Ruby Hughes of Wytheville, VA, Janet Copenhaver of Collinsville, VA, and Gale Quesenberry of Radford, VA. Brother; Clyde “Buddy” Quesenberry of Radford, VA,

The family will receive friends in the Norris Stevens Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday July 28, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at Norris Stevens Funeral Home located at 815 Randolph Avenue on Thursday July 28, 2022 at 7:00 pm.

Burial will be at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery on Friday Morning at 11:00. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 10:00 so that all may enter together
