Aker, Scott McKenzie

Scott McKenzie Aker, 34, beloved son of Don and Anne Aker, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Radford. He was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Aker; his paternal grandfather, Vance S. Aker; his maternal grandparents, Homer and Louise Cole; and aunts, Pat Clement, Mickey Clement, and Lana Smith.

His generous spirit will be remembered by his parents; his dog, Trillian; his paternal grandmother, Ruth C. Aker, of Radford; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Scott made lifelong friends from his time at Radford High School, Christiansburg High School, and Northside High School. He was a gifted computer technician and faithfully helped family and friends with their computer needs. Scott had a heart for struggling people, and spoke and acted strongly on their behalf.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home, 1200 Grove Ave., Radford, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 2 p.m.
