Aikers, Sr., Ellis

Ellis Aikers, Sr., 82, of Radford, Va., and formerly of Kimball, W.Va., departed this life on Friday, July 11, 2008.

He was born September 5, 1925, to the late Robert Aikers and Martha Moyers Aikers. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Jaqueline Aikers, of Radford, Va.; two sons, Ellis Jr. and Tony Aikers, of Radford, Va.; one daughter, Deborah Preston, of Welch, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis Aikers; and two sisters, Mary Stephens, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Gladys Carter, of East Orange, N.J.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held noon on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at Liberty Full Gospel Fellowship Church, Radford, Va., with the Reverend Jerry Wyms officiating. Final rites entrusted to Penn’s Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
