Geneva Williams Agnew, 91, the widow of Aubrey Agnew, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 7, 2008. Mrs. Agnew was born on November 30, 1916 in Floyd, Va., to the late Jerome Williams and the late Nettie Trusler Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jay Kenneth and Ronnie Agnew; daughter, Nancy Harris; grandson, Daniel Moore; brother, Hugh Williams; two sisters, Essie Mae White, and Sue Holland.

She was a longtime member of New Haven Baptist Church, and was a kind and loving person.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Moore, Floyd, Va.; one son, Thomas Agnew, Troutville, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, Harmon and Ada Lee Williams, Floyd, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Wagoner, King, N.C., Ruby Jones, Bassett, Va.; sister-in-law, Erselle Williams, Ridgeway, Va.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend John Chambers and the Reverend Joseph Falls officiating. Interment will follow at the Williams Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Monday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. The family expresses special thanks and tribute to Oak Haven Lodge and Carilion Hospice. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
