Jeffrey Lynn Adkins, 51, of Christiansburg, Va., died on Thursday, November 11, 2010, at his home. He was the son of the late William and Catherine Adkins. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Robert Jeremiah Gearheart; son, Jeffrey Logan Adkins; and grandson, Robert Grayson Gearheart, all of Christiansburg. Also surviving are his brothers and sister-inlaw, Bob and Shirley Adkins, of Ferrum, Va., Jerry Adkins, of Christiansburg, and his former wife and friend, Leslie Bane Nelson. Several nephews, one niece and many loving friends also survive. The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 2 to 3 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel.
