Larry Joseph Adams, 89, of Walnut Avenue, Pulaski, passed away Wednesday evening May 23, 2007 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Born February 25, 1918 in Jacoby, La., he was the son of the late Jefferson and Luby Bordelon Adams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lemmie Firmin, Jr. and sisters, Lena Austin and Nelda Puppero.

He retired from the former Coleman Furniture with over 30 years of service. A veteran of the United States Army he served during World War II, having received a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.

Surviving is his wife , Agnes Jones Adams, Pulaski, Va.; daughters and son-in-law, Karl and Carolyn Hager, Dublin, Darlene Harvey, Pulaski; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, James A. and Debra Hager, Julia and Cynthia Hager, Hiwassee, Va., Thomas W. and Nicole Hager, Brooke and Stefanie Hager, Max Meadows, Va., K. Jefferson and Terri Hager, Bailey Hager, Belspring, Va., Michael E. Harvey and Melissa, Christopher and Elizabeth Harvey, Radford, Va., Larry J. and Teresa Harvey, Noah, Luke and Eden Harvey, Fredericksburg, Va.; brother, Wallace Firmin, Louisiana; sisters , Marjorie Maddy, Ruby Bacon, Elaine Bacon, Freda Carpenter, Madeline Elliott, Bernice Latino, all of Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Neal Hawks officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin where he will receive full military honors.
